Shabby Chic style headband or add on

It's been a very long time since I posted a new project. I've been working on some Shabby Chic headbands for my daughters. This is one of the them! I am trying headbands, clips, barrettes, and pins. I think I may make some on pins that you can pin on pillows, jackets, lamps, etc., and take off if you need to wash the item or change them out for something new!! I would love to know what you think!!!

Shabby Chic Hooks

This is super cute craft idea I got from the Dollar Store Crafts blog. However I changed it up a bit, and put my own spin on it. Most of the supplies needed you will probably already have. You will need hooks (Dollar Store), Plastic Promoter Adhesive, white spray paint, sandpaper, scrapbook paper, hot glue gun, glue stick, appliques, and ribbon or twine. First spray the hook with plastic promoter adhesive so the paint will not run. After it dries, spray paint it white. When the spray paint dries, sandpaper the edges a little for that Shabby look. Cut scrapbook paper to fit the front, and glue with glue stick. Next add your ribbon, twine, or appliques with the hot glue gun. Finally peel the paper off the sticky thing on back and hang!! I haven't hung anything really heavy, but it hold's my car keys, and light things just fine. Before is the one with Dora and the others are my creations. I hope you enjoy this super cute, super cheap, Shabby chic craft!!!!

Beautiful Bookmarks

I got the instructions for making this craft from Country Living magazine. Jewelry designer Andrea Singarella came up with this clever idea. You will need velvet ribbon, ribbon clamps, jewelry pliers, and trinkets, charms, or vintage earrings. You can get instructions from the link above. Here is a pic of how my bookmarks turned out!!!!

Clothes Pins Oooh La La!

Just a little Shabby Chic craft I did using clothes pins, paper, glue stick, hot glue gun, magnets, and appliques. I took pretty scrapbook paper and cut it to fit the front of the clothes pin and glued it on with a glue stick. I then hot glued some flowers on some of them. Others were buttons that I cut the backs off of and hot glued on. Last but not least I took some magnets I already had and cut them up in pieces to fit the backs of the clothes pins and hot glued them on the back. Then presto, beautiful shabby chic fridge clips to hang your kid's art up!!!!
